Jute is the second largest cash crop in Bangladesh.Every year, a large amount of money is earned by exporting jute goods.Jute produced in Bangladesh is exported to India , Pakistan, Nepal, China, Russia, United States , Ivory Coast and the United Kingdom.
For the first 6 months of fiscal year 2017-18 , the export of jute and jute goods in the period of July- December has earned 57.4 million dollars . That is , 21.48 percent more than the same period of the year .Raw jute export earns 8.77 million dollars . At the same time , the export of jute yarn and coil has earned 36 million US dollars and jute sacks and bag exports have earned 8.89 million dollars . Apart from the other jute goods the amount equivalent to $ 4.9 million.
Bangladesh also exports jute and jute goods to different countries including Egypt, Syria ,Turkey, Iran . There is a lot of demand for jute goods in the Middle East countries.
Export earning of jute goods increased by 2017-18 fiscal year 2014-15, 2015-16,2016-17 Creating new types of new products . Currently, jute and jute goods are being exported from Bangladesh to 188 countries . Growth is the amount of exports.
In addition to the 25 countries of the European Union , jute and jute goods are being exported to Bangladesh from different countries including South Korea, Japan, USA ,Australia , France , Spain Germany and Brazil.
As the environment is environment friendly , the demand for day -to-day demand in the world market is rising . For example; using jute without using polythene bags . These are not only produced in sacks, socks. Currently ,the country's own investment is producing and exporting 150 types of jute products.Using jute bag as a substitute for polythene bags as a substitute for polythene bags by means of technology.
The government hopes that by 2030, the textile will be exported to all the countries of the world . Exports of exports
